Republican lawmakers at the Wisconsin Capitol want to use the state constitution to make sure that there’s never a repeat of the Zuckerbucks scandal.
A handful of Republicans yesterday introduced what they’re calling an election transparency constitutional amendment. It would ban the use of outside political groups to deal with absentee ballots, as well as paying for any sort of primary, election, or referendum in the state. The amendment also makes it clear that only election officials may handle Wisconsin’s electoral process.
