Day Of Caring Connects Community

Friday, September 22 us when over 470 volunteers set out to participate in United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley’s 29 th Day of Caring.

Day of Caring connects nonprofit organizations and schools in the Chippewa Valley to volunteers that help with projects that might not otherwise get completed. The impact of this single day of service allows organizations to focus on the work they do to support the community.

This year there are over 40 service projects, being completed by more than 500 volunteers, at 28 different locations. Projects vary from food packing, landscaping, painting, maintenance and other essential work. Thank you to our sponsors for making Day of Caring possible: CF Products, Great Northern Corporation, Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire, Huebsch Services, Marshfield Clinic Health System, Mayo
Clinic Health System, Nestle Health Science, PESI, Inc., Royal Credit Union, Scheels, Security Financial
Bank and Xcel Energy. We would also like to thank AmeriCorps, Dunkin’, Fastsigns and Great Northern
Corporation for providing additional support.

This year’s Day of Caring projects are all set to be filled due to hard work on part of United Way staff and
the generous organizations of the Chippewa Valley. We’re better together! To learn more about United
