Republicans at the Wisconsin Capitol are ready to approve another doomed tax cut.
The Assembly is set to vote this afternoon on a nearly three-billion-dollar tax cut package that would give most taxpayers in the state about 700 dollars of their money back. The plan would also make retirement essentially tax-free for most retirees. While there are plenty of votes to pass the tax cut, Governor Tony Evers has already promised a veto. The governor says Wisconsin cannot afford to cut taxes, he’d rather see the money spent elsewhere.
