Two people are dead after drowning in a lake in far northwestern Wisconsin.
It happened at Lipsett Lake in the town of Rusk. on Friday. The Burnett County Sheriff’s Office says 18-year-olds Grace Rhine and Kyree Schaw from Blaine, Minnesota went swimming, but slipped below the water. Deputies say high winds and choppy waters played a role in their drownings. A third person on the lake was treated and released. The sheriff’s office says the investigation remains open.
