UW-Madison is adding more Narcan boxes.
The school yesterday said it is adding 13 new boxes where people can grab a dose of Narcan. UW-Madison now has 25 locations where Narcan is available. The university says the additions are a direct result of the spike in fentanyl and opioid overdoses in Wisconsin and across the country. University Health System’s Jenny Damask says most people who overdose are not alone, and more Narcan boxes give people a chance to do something if they see someone overdose.
