UW-Parkside and UW-Platteville are the latest Wisconsin campuses to look at serious cuts.
The two schools yesterday unveiled plans for either layoffs or furloughs at their campuses. Parkside is looking to furlough its entire staff to close a nearly four million-dollar budget gap. Platteville is looking at a combination of layoffs, early retirements, and furloughs to close its budget deficit. More UW schools could also be looking at cuts. The university says almost every campus will lose money by the end of the next school year.
