The second young woman convicted in the Slender Man stabbing is no longer asking to go home.
Morgan Geyser’s attorneys this week withdrew their request for her to leave the state mental hospital where she’s been held since 2017. Her lawyer says she is making progress with mental health treatments, and they hope to have her sent home next year. Geyser was 12 years old when she and Anissa Weier lured another 12 year old into the woods and stabbed her repeatedly. Geyser and Weier were sentenced to a state mental hospital for the crime. Weier was released in 2021.
