BaraMOOOO! Farm Tech Days 2023 – Baraboo In The Books

“A big thank you to the Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club for hosting this year’s show. And now planning for 2024 in Chippewa County moves into full gear.”

The 2023 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days show, the 69th in the show’s history, is successfully wrapped up, having welcomed over 30,000 people to the show on the grounds of the Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club July 18-20 in Baraboo.

“Farm Tech Days 2023 – Baraboo is in the books, and we’re happy to share that exhibitor, sponsor and attendee feedback has been enthusiastic about the different exhibits, performances, farm tours, and food trucks that were featured,” said Anna Maenner, Wisconsin Farm Technology Days Show Coordinator. In particular, the Rotational Crop exhibit, the Beef Tent cattle handling demonstrations, Madison College’s exhibit focused on the wide range of diesel-related jobs in agriculture, the Equine Tent performances and demonstrations, and the many different drone demonstrations on the show grounds, as well as the farm tours, were well attended by attendees.

“Each year we work to put on a show that highlights what makes the host region’s area special and different from other counties across Wisconsin,” added Maenner. “Volunteer Melissa Schlupp did an amazing job organizing six different tours of innovative local farms and agriculture businesses which really showcased the wide range of agriculture around Baraboo.”

The six tours show attendees visited included:

  • Narrows Dairy Farm
  • Laukant Farms
  • Sauk Prairie State Recreational Area
  • Bula’s Pleasant Valley Farm
  • U.S. Dairy Forage Research Center
  • McFarlane Manufacturing

Maenner added, “A big thank you to the Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club for hosting this year’s show. And now planning for 2024 in Chippewa County moves into full gear.”
