A corn mill in Columbia County will pay the state of Wisconsin nearly a million dollars as part of a pollution settlement.
Attorney General Josh Kaul announced yesterday that Didion Milling will pay 940-thousand dollars over the next four years to settle claims that the mill was polluting the air at both its mill, and the company’s ethanol plant. The settlement is not related to the explosion at the mill in 2017. Didion continues to fight the one-point-eight million-dollars in fines levied by OSHA after that explosion. Kaul said the pollution settlement will hold the company accountable.
