Those who were there say the crash and fire at the Ozaukee County Fair’s demolition derby could have been worse.
Cedarburg Police say a car caught fire during Saturday’s derby, and the 22-year-old driver was seriously burned on his arm. The driver’s friend says they were trying to get the car started when the fire started. It spread quickly. The young man is now in the hospital, his friends have set-up a GoFundMe to help pay his medical bills.
