There was emotional testimony on the first day of Taylor Schabusinesses trial in Green Bay, particularly as the victims mother took the stand.
A string of witnesses took the stand yesterday as prosecutors tried to make the case that Schabusiness strangled her boyfriend, Shad Thyrion, during a day of drug use and sex, and then dismembered his body. Schabusiness is facing life in prison if convicted, though there is a chance she could be found mentally unfit. Her lawyer yesterday told the jury the state has to prove the case, and they as jurors get to decide if they believe the evidence.
