UW Adds Therapy Dog to Staff News | July 13, 2023 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy The University of Wisconsin’s newest officer is there to give-out hugs. The UWPD yesterday introduced Charlie, the department’s first-ever therapy dog. Charlie will walk around campus and will be there for anyone ‘in need during a crisis, or traumatic incident’ according to the university. Charlie comes to the school through the Paws & Stripes program. UW Police simply say students should ask before giving Charlie a pet or a hug.
