The wildfire in Waushara County is bigger and more destructive than first thought.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources yesterday said the fire burned 830 acres of land near Coloma. The first estimates were that the fire burned just 400 acres. We also got word yesterday that eight firefighters were hurt in the fire. One of them was taken to the hospital, the others were treated at the scene. Investigators say someone burning pallets started the fire. The DNR says they could be held responsible for the damage that fire has done.
