Dane County’s sheriff is investigating an attack on a jail guard.
It happened Friday evening inside the county jail. Investigators say a guard was speaking with a prisoner on the jail sixth floor, when the prisoner then attacked the guard with a ‘makeshift weapon.’ Other guards then rushed-in and rescued the guard. In all, the sheriff’s office says, two guards were injured. Charges in the attack are pending.
