Deputies say a Wisconsin Rapids man told them he thought he hit a mailbox over the weekend, but investigators say he tried to hide the damage to his truck.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office yesterday said deputies arrested Cody Provost for the Friday hit-and-run in the Town of Seneca that sent a mom to the hospital. The sheriff’s office says Provost hit the woman while she was walking with her child along the side of the road. The child wasn’t hurt, the mom remains in the hospital in stable condition.
