A fire remains under investigation in Marshfield.
On June 14th 2023, Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department was dispatched for flames coming from a trailer home at N Peach Avenue. It was reported that all occupants were out of the home and a dog and a cat remained inside. Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department responded immediately with 2 engines and 1 ambulance. Marshfield Police Department also responded to the scene. Upon arrival the trailer home was fully engulfed with fire with portions of the exterior walls already failing. A defensive attack was used to extinguish the fire and handlines were used to protect the adjoining structures.
The fire was quickly knocked down. Firefighters remained on scene for several hours ensuring all hot spots were extinguished. A box alarm was requested to assist with manpower from Hewitt Fire department and Wood County Central Fire and Rescue Association. The fire is currently under investigation.
