WI Budget Deal Boasts Local Funding

First responders are celebrating the provisions in Wisconsin’s tentative shared revenue deal.

Governor Evers and Republican leaders Thursday announced a local government funding agreement that would see a 20-percent increase in aid to communities across the state. Lawmakers say the bills will lead to a significant increase in resources for public safety, especially in rural communities that have had to rely on volunteers and dwindling resources in recent years.
