Reach Out and Read Donation Touches WI News | June 10, 2023 | 0 | by Morgan McCarthy Philanthropist MacKenzie Scott has made a donation to a national literacy nonprofit, and some of that money will help children in Wisconsin. Scott promised eight-million-dollars to Reach Out and Read, an organization that specializes in reading skills for early childhood development. The nonprofit lists more than 275 physicians and clinics in the state, and said it’s provided books and resources to over 170-thousand kids. One official from the Wisconsin chapter says Reach Out and Read serves one out of every three children under age five in the state.
