Newly unsealed court documents show the Green Bay woman accused of dismembering her boyfriend after a day of drug use want the sexual assault charge she’s facing dropped because her boyfriend was no longer a person.
A judge yesterday unsealed some motions in Taylor Schabusiness’ trial. Among them is a request from her lawyers to drop a sexual assault charge because her boyfriend was already dead when she’s accused of assaulting him. Her lawyers argue Wisocnsin’s sexual assault law only applies to people, not corpses. Prosecutors say Schabusiness cut her boyfriend into pieces after choking him to death. Court documents say she confessed to the crime. She’s due to go on trial later this summer.
