CWD Detected in Sauk County

Chronic wasting disease has been detected in deer in Sauk County. 

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection says the case was recently detected in a ten-year-old doe on a deer farm.  The farm is currently under quarantine while the case is being investigated.  Chronic wasting disease is a neurological condition that is fatal in deer, elk, and moose.
