The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection says the case was recently detected in a ten-year-old doe on a deer farm. The farm is currently under quarantine while the case is being investigated. Chronic wasting disease is a neurological condition that is fatal in deer, elk, and moose.
