County supervisors voted against a public-funding option for the ballpark last Thursday. Supervisors say there are just too many other needs. Republican leaders at the Wisconsin Capitol are insisting that the county, as well as the city of Milwaukee, pay something if the state is going to send taxpayer dollars to the Brewers’ ballpark. Major League Baseball’s commissioner was in town last Thursday, and said the team needs to make improvements to American Family Field or the Brewer may leave Milwaukee.
