Wisconsin’s Assembly Speaker is testing a new tax cut plan.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos on Friday said Republicans will likely have a plan to cut taxes in the new state budget by the end of the month. Vos said he’d like to see a flat tax, but he’s not sure that lawmakers can go that far. Vos is not saying just how much less people would pay under the plan, but he says the tax proposal will rework the income tax structure in Wisconsin. Republicans at the Capitol are working to finish a new two-year state budget by the end of June.
