Gas prices slipped down on Friday.
According to Triple-A, the statewide average for regular was down a penny, to three-42 a gallon. Prices are down eight cents a gallon over the past week. The average price in Dane County was three-40 a gallon Friday while drivers in Sauk County were paying an average of three-29 a gallon.
