There are quite a few people who aren’t happy with the latest move in Ripon.
The city on Monday moved the Little White Schoolhouse from its spot downtown, to a new spot on Ripon’s northwest side. The Little White Schoolhouse is where the Republican Party was founded, and the move means it will likely no longer be on the National Register of Historic Places. A number of conservatives in Wisconsin are upset, but local leaders and the developer who paid for the move, says the new location could bring-in more visitors. This is not the first move for the Little White Schoolhouse, it’s been moved three times over the past 100-years or so.
