Foxconn Lands Shifts to Microsoft For Development

Microsoft is the new owner of hundreds of acres in Racine County that were supposed to go to Foxconn.

The county board on Tuesday voted 18-1 to sell Microsoft 315 acres of land in Mount Pleasant for 50 million-dollars. Microsoft is looking to build a data center on the land, and the agreement calls for construction to begin by the summer of 2026, with a second phase to begin no later than the summer of 2033.
