It’s a quarter-million dollars bond for the suspect in a sexual assault case along an Oregon bike trail last month.
Dane County prosecutors filed formal charges yesterday against 42-year-old Richard Cunningham. He was out on bail for another sexual assault case when police say he attacked a woman back on March 23rd along the Oregon Rotary Bike Trail. Investigators linked Cunningham to the latest case through both DNA evidence and his court-ordered GPS tracker. Cunningham pleaded guilty to 2nd degree sexual assault in the first case, where he forced himself on a woman at knife-point.
He was out on bail and waiting to be sentenced when police say he committed the second assault.
