As of today the Barron County Jail and Northwood Technical College had 10 students complete the requirements to receive an HSED, 143% of last year’s total, and are on track to doubling last year’s total by the end of the spring semester.
Additionally, officials announced an education expansion to Northwood Technical College’s CNC Machining program. This grant-funded opportunity allows students here to take the first college course of the program which includes: Print Reading Fundamentals, Interpreting Industrial Prints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
Northwood Technical College has provided an instructor, textbook, and materials necessary for class. Upon release, students may continue the program at Northwood Technical College to earn
their diploma and have unique opportunities in their specialized skills.
Thank you to Northwood Technical College and Barron County for making this possible!
We would like to congratulate Donald Scott in obtaining his HSED.
