WI Coach Awarded

Marquette’s Shaka Smart has picked-up another honor.

The United States Basketball Writers Association yesterday named him the Henry W. Iba Award winner. The Iba Award is given to the best coach in the nation. Smart was already named Big East Coach of the Year, and he is a finalist for the Naismith Award, college basketball’s other coach of the year honor. The Naismith Award winner will be announced in two weeks.
