The federal government is looking to pour more help into Wisconsin to replace lead pipes across the state.
Wisconsin is one of four states chosen to be part of the Lead Service Line Replacement Accelerator program. That means more help from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Labor to take out old pipes, and replace them with new, safer ones. Ten communities in Wisconsin will see that help. Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey were also chosen to be a part of the accelerator program.
