Hello winter, our old friend. Forecasters are using terms like “historic” to describe the snow Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley could see today.
The National Weather Service has the entire area under a Winter Storm Warning until noon tomorrow. Forecasters expect as much as 20 inches of new snow today. That’s in addition to the snow already on the ground, and the 45 mile-per-hour wind gusts that have been howling.
