Dozens of bright young students are competing in the Madison All-City Spelling Bee.
About 40 students from the third through the eighth grades took part in the annual spelling bee held Saturday at Madison College. Winning first place this year was seventh-grader Aiden Wijeyakulasuria of Blessed Sacrament School. Eagle School seventh grader Jay Jadhav came in second, and in third place was Molly Abel, a seventh grader from Our Lady Queen of Peace School.
