The jets that shot down the Lake Huron object were from Madison, but the pilots were from Minnesota.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz yesterday said pilots from Minnesota National Guard’s 148th Fighter Wing flew the mission and downed the object Sunday. The Minnesota pilots are stationed at Truax Field in Madison as part of a full time NORAD detachment. A White House spokesman yesterday said the object was not alien, but didn’t say what it was.
