WI Welcomes Rescue Animals

Dane County’s Humane Society is opening its doors to dogs and cats from other states. 

A new shipment of 60 dogs and cats are set to arrive from Louisiana today.  Yesterday, the Humane Society said they got 15 dogs from a shelter in Alabama.  The animals are coming to Madison because there’s simply not enough room at the shelters where they are from.  If the Humane Society hadn’t stepped up, some of the animals would have been put down.
