There won’t be any charges connected to the crash in far northern Wisconsin involving a former state senator that left two people dead.
Prosecutors in Ashland yesterday said they aren’t charging anyone for the crash last July. Investigators say former state Senator Janet Bewley pulled into the path of a mom and her daughter who were speeding down Highway 2 just before the crash. The D.A.’s office says the mom was driving 100 miles-per-hour, and they found a vape pen with THC in her car. Bewley had just had eye surgery, but prosecutors say she was cleared to drive. The father of the little girl killed in the wreck is suing.
