UW Campuses Fight Low Enrollment, Future Plans

There’s new worry at UW-Milwaukee’s satellite campuses.

The campuses in Waukesha and West Bend are just a shell of what they used to be, the latest enrollment numbers show just 340 students at UW-Washington County and just 800 students at UW-Waukesha. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel spoke to processors who worry they will be the next UW campuses to close. The UW System is currently closing the campus in Richland Center because of low enrollment. UW-Milwaukee Chancellor Mark Mone says no one is talking about closing the campuses, in fact he says there have been conversations about putting more money into the schools.
