Conservation Group Howls About Wolf Plan

One of Wisconsin’s environmental groups is out with a critique of the state’s new wolf management plan. 

Wisconsin’s Green Fire yesterday released its thoughts on the DNR’s new wolf hunting plan. The group is happy that Wisconsin wants to end its specific number for the state’s wolf population, and that the DNR wants to limit hunting and trapping. Green Fire would like to see some more protections for wolves, particularly when it comes to using dogs to hunt the wolves. Green Fire says it wants to ‘minimize ‘human-wolf conflicts’ through the plan.
