Eau Claire is starting the day under a Winter Storm Warning.
The National Weather Service says heavy, wet snow will blanket the area. Forecasters expect up to seven inches of snow by the time the storm is done. The Weather Service is leaving the Winter Storm Warning in place til 3 p.m. this afternoon. Wis-DOT and local road crews are asking people to stay home if they can today.
