Dane County’s sheriff is using orange water to make the case for a jail renovation.
Sheriff Kalvin Barrett shared video of the discolored water coming-out of a faucet in the jail. He simply said ‘We can do better.’ The sheriff wants the county to move ahead with the long-stalled jail renovation. He says the old jail just can’t keep up.
Some Dane County leaders, however continue to oppose the jail for social justice reasons.
