Railroaders On Track For Referendum

Altoona Schools are going to be asking for more money this April.

The city’s school board last night approved a 26 million-dollar referendum question. The district wants to buy the old National Business Institute building and turn it into a school for young kids. Some of the money would also go to upgrades at the city’s other schools. Altoona’s superintendent says Altoona is growing, and that means the schools need to grow to keep-up.
