Governor Tony Evers has declared Wisconsin’s second energy emergency in a month because of severe winter weather on Friday.
The order will provide a 30-day waiver allowing fuel suppliers to catch up on deliveries delayed due to weather. Evers said the waiver also will allow for out-of-state utility restoration crews to arrive faster. The governor said weeks of severe winter weather have had impacts on the distribution of residential heating fuel, including heating oil and propane and the order will allow for the delivery of those products.
