Inauguration Day At Wisconsin Capitol

There are a lot of new faces at the Wisconsin Capitol. Lawmakers and the state’s elected leaders take their oaths of office today, and for many of them it will be their first time.

There will be 31 new lawmakers in both the State Senate and State Assembly. Some of them are taking new seats, but many of them are taking their seat in the legislature for the first time. Governor Evers will take the oath as governor for the second time, Wisconsin’s Secretary of State Doug La Follette will take his oath for the 11th time.
