There will be another change in the second Evers Administration.
The governor on Friday announced that Mary Kolar is stepping down as V-A secretary. Kolar has been with the governor since he first took office back in 2019. She is leaving as the Veterans Affairs administration is facing questions about poor care and poor conditions at the Veterans Home in Union Grove. Neither Governor Evers nor Kolar talked about those problems in her resignation announcement. There’s no word yet who will replace Kolar.
