Wisconsin Congressman Mike Gallagher believes the U.S. is in the early stages of a cold war with China.
Appearing on CNN’s State of the Union, the Republican lawmaker said he views the Chinese Communist Party as an enemy of the United States. As the incoming chairman of a select committee on China, Gallagher is pushing legislation to ban the Chinese-owned app TikTok. He likened the app to “digital fentanyl” due to its highly addictive nature. Gallagher says he wants to make this a bipartisan effort to pass policies that will protect America from the CCP.
