This year saw many new additions to our community, and although each baby is unique, some share the same names.
For girls, Avery and Nora tied for the most popular names of the year. Avery, with both English and French origins means “wise”, and Nora with Latin roots means “honor or shining light”. Azalea, Elizabeth and Mila all tied for the second most popular names given to newborn girls born at Marshfield
Medical Center-Eau Claire this year. For boys, Jack, meaning “God is gracious”, was back at the top of the list for another year with Sawyer, with English roots meaning “wood cutter”, new to the list, tying for most popular name honors in 2022.
Barrett, Roman and Theodore tied for second most popular names given to baby boys born at Marshfield Medical Center-Eau Claire in 2022. Jackson and Henry were top boy names in 2021.
Evelyn/Evalynn/Evelynn were top girl names in 2021.
