The DNR wants to know who shot a bald eagle in Milwaukee County.
Animal rescuers found the bird with a wounded wing in Franklin last Wednesday. The DNR says it’s clear the bird was shot, but they are not saying by what or by who. It is, of course, illegal to shoot bald eagles. Animal rescuers yesterday said the bird’s condition was closely guarded. If the bird recovers, it will likely need another surgery to be able to fly again.
