What’s Next? Official Counts Slated For Days Ahead

Wisconsin’s Election managers say the votes are counted, but nothing will be official until the week of Thanksgiving.

The Elections Commission yesterday said 100 percent of Wisconsin counties have reported their unofficial vote totals to the state. The next step is the local vote canvass, where vote totals are made official. That has to be done by Tuesday. Counties then have until the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to get those results to the Elections Commission. Commissioners will then vote to make the vote count official. That’s also when we should get a final voter turn-out number for the state.
