ECPD Looking To Hire

Eau Claire Police say they are already working to hire new officers following Tuesday’s tax increase vote.

Chief Matt Rokus says they are in the middle of an open recruitment process, and will start another one next month. Voters approved a nearly million-and-a-half dollar tax increase Tuesday. The money has been earmarked to hire 15 news police officers.

Rokus says it may take some time to get the new officers on-board, he says they want to hire the right police officers for the community.
