It was a ‘Yes’ night for Eau Claire and the city’s school district.
Voters last night approved tax increases for both. The city’s referendum will raise about a million-and-a-half dollars a year to hire more people at city hall. The school district’s referendum will raise taxes by almost 100 million-dollars for building improvements and new hires. Both questions got about 60 percent of the vote.
