We now know who was found on campus heading into the weekend. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Police Department was conducting a death investigation in the Putnam Park area adjacent to campus.
At approximately 11:35 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, the body of an adult male individual was found unresponsive and emergency personnel were notified. The deceased has been identified as 32 year old Thomas J. Polski, from Danbury, Wisconsin. UW-Eau Claire Police were assisted by the Eau Claire Police Department, Eau Claire Fire Department and the Eau Claire County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deceased has no ties to UW-Eau Claire, and there is no immediate threat to the community.
