The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said the state is averaging 800 cases each week. Many states across the country are seeing similar spikes in RSV cases and hospitalizations, but no one is saying why. DHS says a number of hospitals across the state say they are almost out of ICU beds for kids. RSV cases usually peak in January, so an October outbreak is concerning.
